Copyright (DMCA) Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
1. Our approach
Atomic Anesthesia respects the intellectual property of others and expects members to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512. This policy covers content members post or upload, such as forum posts, messages, flashcards, and files.
2. Reporting infringement
If you believe content on the Service infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to act for, send our designated agent a written notice that includes:
- Identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list if there are several
- Identification of the material you say is infringing, with the URL or enough detail for us to find it
- Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
- This statement: "I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
- This statement: "The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the owner, or an agent authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."
- Your physical or electronic signature
3. Designated copyright agent
- Email: hello@atomicanesthesia.com (subject "DMCA Takedown Notice")
- Mail: Copyright Agent, Atomic Anesthesia, LLC, 8 The Green, Dover, DE 19901, United States
Please send only copyright notices to this subject line. For anything else, email us with a different subject.
4. What happens next
When we receive a complete notice, we will:
- Remove or disable access to the material
- Notify the member who posted it and give them a copy of the notice
- Tell them how to send a counter-notice
5. Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the agent above (subject "DMCA Counter-Notice") that includes:
- Identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal
- Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
- This statement: "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled."
- This statement: "I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which my address is located, or if my address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Atomic Anesthesia may be found, and I will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or an agent of such person."
- Your physical or electronic signature
We will send a copy of a valid counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we will restore the material within 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.
6. Repeat infringers
We will close the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe copyrights in appropriate circumstances.
7. False claims
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. If you are not sure whether material infringes your copyright, consider consulting a lawyer first.
